WONDERFUL WAKING DREAM

Great new cirque show - gorgeous costumes and a look at Mexico in a non cliched way. Some spectacular acts. The set is as usual technically amazing. Loved it.

LUZIA CIRQUE DU SOLEIL, VANCOUVER

The show was excellent. We bought the VIP experience and were disappointed with it. It was better two years ago. No coat check, no featured cocktail, although Hennessy Cognac was featured online. Not even a drop of it at the bar. The beers were Stella and Michelob. Mexico theme? The appies were so so. My wife and I both got sick in the night and suspect food poisoning from them. Last time there was a professional photographer and we received a portrait of my wife and I at the end of it. Not this time. Not for VIPs this time, just VIP price.

VERY ENJOYABLE SHOW

I just returned from watching Luzia, my favorite acts were the girls with the hoops, the lady who was being tossed up in the air like a doll and the incredibly flexible man. I haven't seen a Cirque du Soleil show for a few years as the prices were way too high but they had a sale so I went with my family, we all loved it. Food price was reasonable but bottle of water, cup of tea or coffee was far too expensive.

NOT THE USUAL

I have now been to 4 Shows and unfortunately Luzia didn’t measure up. I did t find they had a story line. Thankfully our show hosted the contortionist. I heard other shows didn’t showcase the extreme flexibility of this individual. Sorry Cirque for the price I paid at $120 was not worth it.

LUZIA CALGARY SHOW SEPT. 19, 2019 4:30 PM

Have previously seen 3 other Cirque shows, Calgary and Vegas. Found that this show was at the bottom of my list. Was really looking forward to seeing the contortionist, and he was a no show.....big disappointment. Would carefully assess ever seeing another show for the big ticket price.

LUZIA VANCOUVER

Just got back from the show, just a huge waste of money, bought 5 vip tickets, thinking food will be good, but all garbage. Please do not spend so much money on buying vip tickets. It was very disappointing. Show was ok but not the greatest. Rather spend that much money to some good high end restaurant.

GOOD SHOW - HORRIBLE TO ACCESS LOCATION

Went to last night's Luzia. Ended up getting there 20 minutes late, because on the map that Hartford Theater shows THE WRONG LOCATION for the Grand Chapiteau. So we found what we thought was a "near by" restaurant. With all the advertising for Luzia, WHY don't you just give some info to help people find the place and plan their night??? It's next to The Candlewood Hotel! just say that! Aside from all that we did think the show was good.

First half was nothing spectacular. Hoping the last section makes up for it.

HIGH SCHOOL PRODUCTION $35.00 PARKING FEE

We have never missed a show. This was slow & the most boring. People mumbling behind said Nap time. Another family left at mid break. One male extortionist, yes male, seen once. Sad we had 5 in our party, we all said boring show. Parking went up this year, CASH GRAB $35.00 Felt taken to the cleaners, we are not New York!

LUZIA

Agree with the reviewers here. Cirque has become little more than a big corporation with profit the prime motivator. The performers must feel totally underutilized given their skill set; merely sleepwalking through their set; the choreography is totally uninspiring and lackluster. All of the music- vocal and instrumental is prerecorded, nothing spontaneous. OMG what a ripoff. Success corrupts once again.

VIP SEATS

We are avid Cirque goers. This was the most disappointing evening, starting with the tasteless finger food (did not measure up to my previous experiences) and lack of an original drink from Mexico (margarita/corona) Nothing original and moved along with no real story line and or momentum, boring to say the least. Both myself and partner considered not returning to the second half, but felt for what we had invested we would rather see if the performers could pull it together, they did not and we left with wow this is not to the standards of Cirque du Soleil event, and felt our pockets were picked. Pole dancing and soccer ball foot work, the Peyote, really. Nothing original, the performers appeared tired and for the first time I witnessed many errors in timing to the music and step. Save your money 💰

WEAKEST CIRQUE SHOW

Having seen many fixed and traveling shows this was by far the weakest. It lacked the usual finesse and many of the stunts were not achieved by the artists. I appreciate how difficult it is but if they can’t do them despite multiple attempts, don’t do them and risk hurting the performers or audience. There were technical difficulties that stopped the show in the first half and as a result they skipped scenes with no real apology. VIP this time was terrible - great service but only one bar and not nearly enough food to go around. The gift was a plastic glass - what a ripoff
